Ministries
In addition to our
parishes ministries listed here, we have clergy ministering in hospitals in California, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and the District of Columbia. We also have clergy serving as public safety chaplains in New Hampshire and Maryland, and others still working with inner-city youth in some of our nation's most impoverished cities.
Social Concerns
The church has a long and rich history of standing up and participating in the social justice process, working to protect all classes of people that society often marginalizes. Please visit our
Social Justice Issues and Action to learn more about these issues and our responses to them.
National Ministries
The Cornerstone Campaign will support and uplift the Old Catholic ministries of the North American Old Catholic Church. Organized to take place during the 140th anniversary of the founding of Old Catholicism, the campaign will raise funds for church activities; awareness in local communities about local ministries, parishes and efforts of the church; and raise the general awareness and viability of Old Catholicism as a viable expression of Catholic faith.
Christian Youth Centers of America operates centers of excellence for inner-city, urban, at-risk youth. Embracing the Christian ethic to love, care and nurture one another, our centers work to stave off the crisis that urban youth face today.
Saint Wolbodo Seminary is our national seminary program. Saint Wolbodo offers classes for those who are preparing for ordination to the diaconate and the priesthood. Additionally, Saint Wolbodo manages our clergy continuing educational program, and offers educational opportunities for laity in our parishes and ministries.
Our clergy participate in our
National Wedding Ministry, which successfully performs hundreds of weddings each year! Our ministers will solemnize weddings that are spiritual or civil, and regardless of whether they are legally binding, or prohibited by civil prejudice.
The
Independent Catholic News Service is a media outlet for the National Church's clergy and partners, offering events, audio and video media, and different podcast shows. Moreover, the news service is joined by the
Old Catholic Publishing Group, which works to bring books and information to the Old Catholic Communities in North America through the re-issuance of historical texts, as well as by offering new books, manuscripts and thoughts from the brightest minds in the Old Catholic Church in the twenty-first century. In addition, the publishing group hosts our quarterly scholastic journal,
The Gabriel.
